Job Title: Senior Business Support Officer
Starting Salary: per annum (pro rata for part time).
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Stevenage

About the team
The Gypsy and Traveller Service is a high-profile, community-focused and fast-paced team that manages 11 sites across the county. We work closely with tenants, contractors, partner agencies, and wider public stakeholders to support the Gypsy and Traveller community. We are looking for a dynamic, calm and adaptable individual who can work well under pressure and support a busy team.
About the role
Tasks will include:
· Taking calls from tenants, logging queries, and arranging repairs
· Problem-solving and helping tenants navigate issues, including the occasional challenging or emotional conversation
· Raising repair orders and liaising with contractors
· Making and receiving calls on behalf of the team
· Keeping accurate, well-documented notes and records
· Producing clear, professional letters, printing them, and preparing them for the team to hand-deliver
· Communicating with the team using WhatsApp in a professional context
· Supporting the team with day-to-day administrative tasks
About you
This role requires you to be in the office 3 days per week to ensure a consistent presence and strong communication within the service.

Desirable:
• Experience working with the Gypsy and Traveller community would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Training and support will be provided
