Starting Salary: £34,434 progressing to £37,280 per annum (pro rata for part time)
Hours: 37
Location:Hybrid/remote, with initial onboarding in Stevenage
Contract Type: 12-month fixed term (full time) and 6-month fixed term (full time)

About the team 

Hertfordshire County Council is looking for a Corporate GIS Technician working with our Corporate GIS team to support the management and development of geospatial data for our land and property portfolio. 

About the role 

You’ll help deliver accurate spatial data and mapping that informs major programmes, including:

  • Produce high quality spatial plans (site, lease, asset and floor plans) using Cadcorp SIS and ArcGIS Pro
  • Maintain and update land and property datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Support integration with corporate systems, including our property database
  • Contribute to digital transformation projects, including preparation for migration to ESRI platforms
  • Help maintain and improve our Assets and Estates application portfolio and support other GIS related requests

About you 

Essential

  • Experience working with GIS and spatial data editing tools
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach
  • Good communication skills and confidence in handling data requests
  • Ability to work across multiple systems

Desirable 

  • Experience with ESRI platform tools and AutoCAD is a bonus
