Location: Based in Hatfield covering Welwyn, Hatfield and Hertsmere locations
Contract: Secondment / Fixed Term to May 2027
About the team
We have an exciting Team Manager role, to lead the Watford & Three Rivers Intensive Family Support Team.
The role oversees a team comprising of two districts within Hertfordshire. The aim of the team is to empower families with multiple and complex needs to achieve better outcomes and therefore prevent escalation of problems, by ensuring a safe and effective service, which responds quickly and intensively to the families’ needs in accordance with the multi-agency Families First approach.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team of Family Intervention Officers, support staff and aligned partner resource.
As the manager, you will lead the performance of the team and partnership to deliver service targets, modelling the assertive, authoritative, persistent, and challenging approach to the work with families. You will oversee the day to day running of the service, including budget management, supervision and HR matters, risk assessment and data analysis and reporting.
About you
Essential:
- Proven track record of managing complex safeguarding scenarios
- Working at pace with a large team of diverse backgrounds
- Confidence in effective risk management
- Strong IT skills including Word and Excel
- Strong report writing skills and data analysis
- Experience of working in a multi-agency setting
- A full driving licence, access to a car and be willing to travel around the county to meetings and partnership events as required.
Desirable:
- A professional qualification would be of benefit (e.g. in leadership, child development or social care)
- Experience of EHM and LCS – Liquid Logic Case Management Systems
