Starting Salary: £34,434 progressing to £37,280 per annum

About the team 

We want to empower families with multiple and complex needs to achieve better outcomes and prevent the escalation of issues they face. Intensive Family Support Teams provides a safe and effective multi-agency service, which responds quickly and intensively to families’ needs. 

About the role 

In this role you’ll be responsible for a caseload of families delivering 1-1 and group based interventions to them in partnership with other agencies in Hertfordshire. Through this support it is intended that families will achieve sustainable improved outcomes underpinned by an agreed plan.

You’ll make school and home visits, offering practical support to families, as well as attending appointments with children and their families.
 
You will have the opportunity to facilitate group sessions such as Domestic Abuse support or parenting groups, as well as arranging and facilitating Team Around the Family meetings as the Lead Professional.
 
You’ll get to work directly with children and families, as well as working closely with other agencies such as schools, CAB, housing, HCC teams, SEN teams and Health professionals.

About you 

Essential:

  • Experience working in a role delivering support to children, young people and their families.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must, and the confidence to initiate and participate in difficult conversations is an important aspect of the role.
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with children, families and other professionals.
  • Competence in using a variety of IT devices and software packages for producing reports and assessments.
  • Full UK Driving licence and regular access to a vehicle will be required. 

Desirable:

  • Experience of completing assessments would be beneficial.

Driving required
You’ll need to have the ability to drive and/or travel around Hertfordshire, either using your own mode of transport or a company car to travel to other locations.
