About the team

We currently have an opportunity for a Band 5 Acute Liaison Nurse within the Community Learning Disability Nursing service in Hertfordshire. 

About the role

You will be working alongside hospital based general nurses and doctors to advocate on the behalf of people with learning disabilities who have been admitted to hospital for a planned admission or emergency reasons. People with learning disabilities in hospital are at higher risks due to being away from a familiar environment and potentially familiar carers, so require a learning disability nurse to ensure the hospital are making reasonable adjustments and the additional risks are minimised.

About you 

Essential: 

  • You must be registered as a Learning Disability Nurse with a valid NMC registration
